Overall I have really enjoyed this module; I feel that I have gained a lot of practical and professional experience by working a live project at the Great Western Arcade. I have had more responsibilities than if I had displayed on-site, as I am working for the Arcade as well as myself. It has given me a taste of what being a free-lance designer would be like as a career, which is something I am working towards after graduating.
I have achieved quite a lot through learning new processes, such as drawing and designing on Illustrator; and refining old techniques,such as paper cutting. These are skills which I will continue with into my professional career.
I will continue with this work after graduating, with the goal to sell some of my cuttings. I will also experiment further with my illustrations, cutting them out of different materials and using the illustrations themselves in different ways.
I have also gained valuable contacts through working with the Great Western Arcade, as the Marketing Advisor and Manager are interested in commissioning work with me in the near future.

Proposal
Reflecting on recent work has allowed me to understand and appreciate my strengths, weaknesses and areas which need developing.
I intend to continue with my previous work with craft, design and displays, as opposed to recent Vibe work. Whilst I am proud of what I achieved with Vibe, and the experience gained from it has become priceless in regards to my CV and possible job opportunities, it is not a suitable project for this module and the outcomes set.
I propose to design and create a shop display for an empty/closed down shop within the busy Birmingham City Centre. I will approach shopping centres, arcades and Birmingham City Council with my plans in the hope that one will allow me the opportunity of working with one of their spaces.
The natural world still acts as a large influence and inspiration in my work, so I will continue with this theme. As the piece will be displayed in a busy shopping area I will also work with the current trends, and the local history/influences.
I currently plan on working with paper as a material, but this may change as I experiment and develop my work.
